About this camp

Come learn one of the world’s most spoken and fascinating languages this summer at China Explorer Camp! This half-day camp introduces young learners to the fundamental building blocks of Mandarin Chinese, as well as its rich history and culture. Students will learn to identify the phonetic system of Mandarin Chinese, read and write basic characters, as well as hold basic conversations with useful phrases. We will also dive into various cultural activities, such as stories, songs, games, and even the art of calligraphy, all in service of further enriching students’ learning and appreciation of Chinese language and culture.

Join us this summer for Creative Writing Camp, and free your inner author for a week of literary exploration and expression! Develop stylistic skills in genre fiction, short stories, poetry, and more. Share and collaborate with fellow writers, and receive invaluable editorial and supportive guidance from peers and instructors.

Success In Middle School VI-Newly Enrolled VII

What if you had a crystal ball that would tell you what middle school was like? What if you knew the problems you’d face, the skills you’d need and how to manage it all? Welcome to Success in Middle School. In this fun camp we will be focusing on the essential skills of middle school: organization, note-taking, planning, mindfulness, friendship, self advocacy and school resources. We’ll be learning all this through wild interactive activities, designed to help you build friendships and confidence. We will learn from some of the latest research on building good habits and some experts on middle school, middle schoolers themselves! Class will include scavenger hunts, know-yourself quizzes, backpack makeovers, skits, and fun classroom teamwork activities. Come learn the secret that your teachers have been keeping for years. With the right toolbox, middle school can be a blast!
